I am working on a screenplay for the pilot for a one-hour television drama. I leave for the Norman Mailer Writers Center on September 7th and it needs to be done by then.
I also have a new idea for a novel, with a working title "Marion," it is in that fun stage when it is all possibility and potential and no blood, sweat, and tears yet. Just a few pages in...
I have an idea for a short story gnawing at me. It's satire and the challenge of doing satire well is certainly appealing and frightening.
My plate is full, but when you're waiting to hear on the novel you recently sent out, it is better to keep busy. Still, as writers, how do we choose where to apply the precious time we have for writing? Thoughts, anyone?
On the projects where the ideas are coming in, or that you don't want to devote full time to right now, make notes. Make outlines. Do a little research. Start a file.
